I am currently working for an organisation which is in the middle of a reorg.
Its hard for me to not notice the parallels with traffic circles or roundabouts.
To solve a gridlock, a re-org is conceived.
However just like round abouts are a lesson in group co-operation.
If the organisation originally did not have group co-operation then chances are getting into the re-org ends up like a roundabout where people don't clearly know when to yield and when to get off and the gridlock ends up being a quagmire where people get stuck badly...
How to design a Organizational Roundabout?
Some traits
1. Control entry and exit
2. Decide/Design the right of way
3. Who is allowed inside the roundabout
4. Make an underground walkway for people who have no inclination to get into the roundabout. Basically people who have no wish to play politiks. This is usually the tech savvy people.
